CER / ERU

One Certified Emission Reduction (CER) or one Emission Reduction Unit (ERU) is equivalent to one metric ton of CO2 and is tradable on carbon markets.

EC Carbon assists project developers or carbon sellers throughout the whole transaction process from the marketing of carbon credits to the negotiations, to the transaction, in order to guarantee customized deals that suit your strategy and financial requirements.

We perform forward sales through Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements (ERPA) at fixed or floating price, Spot and OTC transactions.

EUA

One European Union Allowance (EUA) represents the right to emit one tonne of CO2.

EC Carbon trades EUAs on behalf of its clients and monitors their compliance with their emissions target in order to avoid any additional costs for them. We perform Spot and OTC transactions.

VER

One VER represents one ton of CO2 and is tradable on voluntary carbon markets. However, because of regulatory issues, the quality of VERs can differ from one project to another. When buying or selling VERs, you need to be sure of their real social and environmental benefits.

For people, companies or institutions that are not subject to mandatory reductions but that wish to voluntarily offset their carbon footprints, EC Carbon helps identify high quality VERs and provides trading services.

We also assist projects developers generating VERs by helping them identify the most suitable sale strategy and by assisting them along the whole transaction process.
